When feeling unsafe became a pattern, not just a moment.
Complex trauma is often not about one single event, but repeated experiences of feeling unsafe, powerless or vulnerable over time.
Those experiences can shape the way our nervous system responds to relationships, conflict, criticism, responsibility, closeness and everyday stress.
You may recognise anxiety, shame, people-pleasing, perfectionism, shutdown, overthinking, fear of rejection, difficulty trusting yourself or recurring relationship patterns.
Not simply “What is wrong with me?” but “What happened, and what is my system trying to protect me from?”
Many patterns that feel frustrating or self-defeating may once have helped us cope, stay connected, avoid conflict or get through situations that felt unsafe.
In coaching, we can slow down, notice those patterns, build greater internal and external safety and work practically towards healthier ways of responding.
The aim is not to label or diagnose you. It is to understand what is happening with more compassion and less shame.

Fight, flight, freeze, fawn, shutdown, overworking, people-pleasing and other ways of trying to stay safe.
Relationships
Fear of rejection, difficulty trusting, boundaries, codependency, enmeshment and recurring conflict.
Self-understanding
Learning to approach shame, fear, guilt, perfectionism and protective parts with curiosity rather than condemnation.
Coaching, not psychotherapy
HEAR2HEAL offers coaching and education, not counselling, psychotherapy, diagnosis, medical treatment or crisis support.
I use nervous-system-informed and IFS-informed ideas within coaching, and I will suggest specialist support when that is what you need.
Related support: cross-cultural relationships, marriage preparation, and international online coaching.
